Welcome to the Christchurch Big Band Festival webpage. We’re glad you visited!

In 2017 the festival is in its 11th year and is running over Labour Weekend from October 20-23

There will be free performances at locations around the tram line by big bands from around the South Island. Events include 4 jazz workshops (open to anyone), a big band ball (featuring 5 bands), public performances, an opening concert by the All Girl Big Band featuring female artists through the decades,  and an amazing closing gala concert by Symposium featuring 10 stunning local vocalists!
